Call for BEAP Board Members

Building Equality in Architecture Prairies (BEAP) is an initiative that promotes equity and diversity in the city-building professions. Our organization aims to support, celebrate, and connect practitioners working in architecture, landscape architecture, planning, construction, and interior design across the prairies.


We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our Executive Committee in a volunteer capacity. As an Executive Committee member, you will help shape our vision and direction, and ensure the organization is fulfilling our mission.


Responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly Board meetings (September - June).

  • Sit on one of four Sub-Committees (Fundraising/Sponsorship, Research, Marketing, Event Planning)

  • Provide guidance and oversight to advance the organization’s mission.

  • Assist with the planning of annual programming.

  • Assist with advocacy and other outreach efforts, as needed.

  • Contribute to Board development.

  • Attend and support BEAP events.


BEAP is seeking the following:

  • Landscape Architects

  • Planners

  • Interior Designers

  • Students pursuing post-secondary education in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction and Design.


We kindly ask that interested individuals submit a letter of interest and their CV by March 1, 2024. This should be an introduction to who you are and why you are interested in serving on the BEAP Executive Committee.
