Welcome Michaela Peyson!

BEAP is thrilled to welcome Michaela Peyson (she/her) to the Executive Committee!

Learn more about Michaela:

Michaela is a landscape architectural intern and an engagement specialist with a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Manitoba. Her work focuses on re-evaluating current engagement processes by looking to her Afro-Caribbean roots through an intersectional lens. This approach seeks to re-build processes which advocate for building deeper relationships by uplifting voices at the margins, as inclusive spaces and spaces of belonging come alive through conversations and connections.

We acknowledge that we are meeting on original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Ojibwe-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples and on the homeland of the Red River Metis. BEAP is committed to ensuring that First Nations, Metis and Inuit knowledge, cultures and traditions are embraced and reflected in our programming.
